All righty then…..

Many changes since the last post. I’ve shipped 2 children off who joined the military. One is training to be a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force and the other will be training to be a computer and network specialist in the Army National Guard. So a bit of empty nest going on at the moment. I’ve attended both of the conventions that I had planned to attend and met some wonderful people at both. I’ve managed to allow imposter syndrome / performance anxiety stop me from doing the audio work that I love.

Wow tons of things.

I’ve started exercising again so I can get more healthy. I’m using numerous tools to head for this goal. The new tool is having friends who are working for the same thing all pulling together is helping me quite a bit.

I’ve just restarted working on the audio projects that have been languishing.

There are a couple of writing projects that have shown up on the horizon but I need to time to figure them out more before approaching them.

I took a voice over class at a local studio. Real studio environment caused the performance foo to kick up but I got through it. The final email from the instructor was very encouraging. As with all my pursuits I need to step up and do the things that I know I need to do to move forward.

The weight is still being a thing with total calories and portion control being the evil which I need to overcome.

For all the things going on there are good days and there are bad days. I need to keep working on having more good days if I want to get healthy. The alternative is rather definitively terminal. To that end I’ve set up an appointment with a medical professional for the first time in way too long. If I don’t know exactly what is going on with me then I can not properly address it and safely get healthy.

All for not.

Well that was unexpected. I wasn’t planning to stop posting I just forgot one day then didn’t make a list and well I’m sure you get the idea.

I’ve changed things up a bit with regard to everything.

I’m exercising 3x a week 2x on the days I exercise. 30 minutes steady state(ish) fasted cardio in the morning. Then 30(ish) minutes of weight lifting after I get home from work. So I get 2 sleep cycles between exercise days which should help with the recovery. Before I was doing cardio on the off days or every day so only 1 sleep cycle. Since I’m just getting back on the exercise wagon (again) I want to give myself the extra recovery and jump-start the whole process.

30 minutes walking at 2.7mph average this morning

5 x 5 @65lbs Barbell squats, 5×5 @45lbs Barbell overhead press, 1 x 5 @135lbs Dead-lift

2519 calories consumed (119g fat, 246g carbs, 91g protein. 10 g alcohol)

Meditated after the morning walk.

Research on Audio production continues.

I’m still working on my outline even though NaNoWriMo has started. I want to finish something that has some remote resemblance to a first draft and not just ‘win NaNo’ this time. I’ve won Nano a few times but I will not consider showing those manuscripts to anyone (yes they are that bad and worse).

The new creative thing is on the back back burner for the time being as I need to really focus on audio production and voice over with writing on the side. Well on top of the day job that is.

Almost forgot THIS YouTube channel is giving me a bunch of helpful coping strategies!

I have again managed to complete all of my tasks for the day. I am also starting a bullet journal, yes I know another procrastination method disguised as organization. I need more in depth organization than the note card per day system that I’m using at the moment. I’ll be keeping with the daily not card and transcribing the information on them into the bullet journal. This will allow me to track things over time much quicker. As well as give me a place to plot and scheme.

Meditate: Check.

Diet: 500 restriction.

Work on outline: Check.

Read about audio production: Check.

Work on VO website: Check, new collapse thing working, sort of.

Make list for tomorrow: Check.
